Lancaster City School District's 106,000 sf General Sherman Junior High School is forging ahead to completion.
Construction update:
- All blockwork and brick is complete
- Hand-rails, aluminum gates and roof ladders are being installed
- Ceiling grid and drywall is up in the entire building
- Ceiling tile has been dropped in the academic wings
- Gym and student dining sound panels are up
- Final coats of paint are ongoing in the academic wings
- Wood casework and countertops are complete throughout the building
- Administration desk is near completion
- Bathroom partitions are beginning
- VET flooring in classrooms is complete
- Rubber flooring has begun in the academic wings
- Ceramic tile is complete throughout the building
- Plumbing fixtures are being set in the academic wings
- Air units are now circulating air throughout the building
- Lighting has been powered in the academic wings
- Technology device installation is ongoing in all areas
- Speakers and cameras have been installed
- Tech closets are being built
- Projector screen has been installed
- Classroom sound systems are being installed
