Akron, Ohio |
In early December, the Summit team attended the ribbon cutting for the long-awaited Akron Bounce Innovation Hub Expansion project. The 16,886 SF project created an entrepreneur generator hub, featuring ten offices, six conference rooms, four huddle rooms, and six booths, all designed to support more future entrepreneurs and small business owners.
Summit provided construction management services for the eight-month project. Our team oversaw day-to-day construction activities including demolition, masonry, carpentry, new walls, flooring, ceilings, painting, and installation of new HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Summit Construction successfully delivered this exciting project within a 100-year-old building, providing an innovative space for small business owners and entrepreneurs. The team faced the challenge of constructing the expansion within an older structure while also managing noise to minimize disruption to businesses and occupants on the floors above and below.
The new space features artwork from various artists across Northeast Ohio, exemplifying Bounce’s support of local entrepreneurs. The grand opening was attended by Akron’s Mayor, Shammas Malik, who spoke at the event, highlighting the importance of supporting local entrepreneurs and fostering innovation within the Akron community.
Summit Construction is proud to have served as CMR for this significant project for the up-and-coming Akron entrepreneurial community.
