Summit Construction was selected to provide Construction Manager at-Risk services for Akron Children's Hospital's Burn Center Modification Project. This project enabled the Burn Center to modernize and expand the existing outpatient areas to allow space for future renovations.

The Burn Center Project was completed in three phases to ensure zero interruptions to the normal operation of the hospital's Burn unit. This project took place in an overly critical active area with hospital implemented infection control requirements. Summit Construction's highly skilled healthcare team ensured strict program compliance resulting in a safe, successful completion. 

Summit Construction provided full CMR services which included bidding, supervision, management of day to day activities, and document, schedule and cost tracking. The scope of work included abatement, casework, firestopping, doors, frame and hardware, automatic operators, carpentry, flooring, paint, signage, new expansion joints, wall protection, sprinklers, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, nurse call, and access control.
