Summit Construction was proud to be the Construction Manager for the new Akron METRO Intermodal Transit Facility in downtown Akron.
The project was completed in 2009 and serves as the hub for METRO's regular line of service buses. The center features a café, year-round art displays, a full-service METRO ticket counter as well as Wi-Fi services. The project was certified L.E.E.D. Gold by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) and includes 14,000SF of retail and office space as well as 30 covered bus berths situated on a 7-acre site.

- Geothermal heating and cooling
- Gray water retrieval system used for the public restrooms and landscaping
