Summit Construction was hired to be the general contractor for this 3.5 month build-out of the Fastenal facility in Akron, Ohio. This 8,000 SF building was renovated to meet higher quality standards and to appeal to more customers by updating their new store and warehouse.

The scope of services for this project was the demolition of the existing interior bar/lounge/banquet area along with the demolition of the south exterior wall to expand the space approximately 20 more feet. After the two demolitions Summit had to install new foundations, structural steel and joists, a roof over the entire building, plumbing and restrooms, interior metal panels, lighting and electrical service, gas service, asphalt pavement on the main entrance and exterior metal panels.

The final result was a beautiful new Fastenal facility that was completed successfully on time. As soon as the construction ended Fastenal moved in, set up new shelving, displayed inventory and opened their doors to the public.
