To meet their growing educational needs, Kent State University awarded Summit Construction Company as the General Contractor for their new research greenhouse. The new 1,600 SF greenhouse was completed in a short time frame of three months so that it would be ready for use at the start of the semester for the new college students.
The primary scope of services that Summit provided was coordinating the mechanical, electrical and plumbing trades. In addition, Summit had to furnish and install metal utility enclosure, support system and floor sealer.
Due to the success of the new greenhouse, the owner was extremely enthusiastic and excited to show the project to the incoming classes for fall.
