Summit Construction was selected to provide General Contracting services for the new Summa Neurology Diagnostics Suite for Summa Health System. The Summit team renovated an existing storage and mask cleaning station to create the 2,100 SF suite.
SCC managed day to day activities, supervised subcontractors and ensured quality work and a safe environment. This project required demolition of the existing areas, renovations including new paint, casework, flooring, HVAC, plumbing, medical gas, electrical, and sprinkler piping relocation to ensure proper coverage of the space.
Summa Neurology was delivered under budget and on schedule, despite a 2 week loss and delay due to COVID-19. SCC responded quickly to the crisis by establishing protocols to ensure the safety of workers, hospital staff and any potential visitors. Although the project took place during the peak of the outbreak, there were zero incidents on site or throughout the Radiology department.
